Get the most out of your pastures to maximise livestock production with Central West Local Land Services Summer Pasture Workshop series.
Workshops will be held in Ballimore and Coonamble. A free feed test will be made available to registered attendees in the lead up to the events to help participants understand the feed value of their pastures.
Topics and skills to be explored include:
-Dry matter assessment
-Feed test analysis
FREE FEED TESTS FOR PARTICIPANTS
Feed tests are available for workshop participants to collect from our Dubbo and Coonamble offices in the weeks prior to your local workshop.
The cut off for feed test submissions will be three weeks before each workshop.
Results for each feed test will be made available to attendees at the workshop to discuss with our team and assist with your planning.

Fresh pasture - refrigerated
Silage - frozen
Other feeds (grain, pellets, hay etc) - nothing required
Samples must not be allowed to heat during storage and transport prior to testing, as they will deteriorate.
Never leave samples in vehicles, particularly on a hot day.

If you are unable to get your feed test in before the cut-off date, don’t worry! We will still provide the service to workshop attendees and results can be discussed after the event.
