Greater Sydney livestock owners who took part in one of our grazing management for drought resilience workshops are invited to a follow up event designed to put that newfound knowledge into action. Register here to secure your place!
Presented by farmer and educator, Brian Wehlburg from Inside Outside Management, participants will be given an in depth insight into using grazing animals as on-farm tools to increase biodiversity, manage pasture growth and improve long term farm profitability.
You will hear about:
-Different approaches land and grazing management
-Using livestock as a tool to reduce the impact of drought
-Early warning biological monitoring by reading the soil surface
-Setting up monitoring sites
-Implementing your grazing plan.
The event will run from 8:30am-4:30pm over both days.
Participants are asked to bring their paddock grazing notes and plans to work on. Also, please wear suitable clothing, boots and a hat and bring a water bottle and sunscreen as the workshop will include outside activities.
The safety of attendees and staff at the workshop is paramount and therefore this event will comply with COVID-19 rules as directed by NSW Health. In order to minimise risks associated with COVID-19, lunch and refreshments will NOT be provided.
