Local Land Services (LLS) is holding a free two-day workshop aimed at assisting landowners and livestock managers with farm management planning including developing their own tailored and integrated Whole of Farm property plan.
This is an opportunity for those recently impacted by the bushfires and drought to review and refine your skills when assessing paddock design, water management and livestock health and performance.
Creating a Whole of Farm plan is a process of planning, property design and management based on optimising natural resources and economic factors.
The workshop aim’s to give you a framework to help you in identifying and integrating your farm’s resources to meet your operational, economic and environmental goals.
Review and discuss your property as a whole-of-farm enterprise. Mapping – participants will receive and work on a large-scale poster sized map of their property, using it to develop, monitor and evaluate their farm plan. Assessing and managing your farms resources to benefit livestock biosecurity, health and performance. For participants whose properties were directly impacted by the bushfires, some financial assistance may be provided by LLS to help implement on-ground aspects of your farm plan.
