Information on supplementary and full feeding in the Palerang area during winter 2018.
This information evening will provide local livestock managers with resources for managing periods of below average rainfall and slow pasture growth.
Topics to be covered will include:
-Animal health considerations when feeding and during dry periods
-Nutritional requirements of livestock, considering mid-to-late pregnancy
-Supplementary feeding – quality, amounts, timing, equipment and practicalities
-Available assistance and support services.
The session will include cattle and sheep information.
Presenters include Local Land Services, Agriculture Advisors and a District Veterinarian. Representatives from Braidwood Rural and Landmark will be available to discuss sourcing feed.
